You need a scanner to capture ID cards.
I bought this because I knew it couldn't write IDs to the car after programming the sensor. Depending on the vehicles you work with, you will most likely need a scanner to record the IDs that this TPMS tool retrieves or programs. However, for this purpose it works great and meets my needs very well.
