Baking bread has become an exciting pastime. However, I used a regular bread knife that I have had for over 50 years. That's a good knife. However, a knife with an OFFSET HANDLE is much easier to use. This knife is reasonably priced and has a nice solid blade (I've read reviews of some blades prone to buckling). If I wanted to give one away, I would choose this knife!
