Review on Mizuno Wave Inspire 16 Women's Road Running Shoe by Clayton Jimenez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The newer model has pros and cons

I bought these to replace my pair of Wave Inspire 14s as they are no longer for sale. I was nervous about getting them because the previous pair had done wonders for my right arch, knee and hip. When I first tried them on I found they fit a little differently. The toe box is not as wide and the shoe is narrower overall. For this reason, if the previous pair was "just right" or almost too small, I would recommend sizing up. My previous pair was 7.5 and they were a bit big but this new 7.5 pair is almost too tight. I noticed that the sole and bottom of the shoes are almost the same as my old pair. Cosmetically speaking. The colors and design of these shoes are much trendier than the colors of previous models and that's why I prefer wearing them. I practiced in them once and they were a much needed upgrade. I really felt the difference in the toe box and time will tell if they meet the rest of my needs.
