Review on JVC HAS65BNB Wireless Headphones: Noise Cancelling, Bluetooth 4.1, Bass Boost, Voice Assistant Compatible (Black) by Polo Acri

Great sound, long battery life, very effective noise suppression

I haven't had large, soft over-ear headphones for decades. It's soothing how this set blocks out external noise and immerses me in music (or conference calls). The headphones sound great, the bass boost is actually quite subtle compared to some headphones I've tried. When I turn on the noise-cancelling feature on these headphones, I can just detect "static" before the background noise goes away. I thought I was the only person who had never tried noise canceling headphones but when people at work asked for my new headset I gave them away, they were all amazed at how the air conditioner rumbled and other office noises be drowned out while listening to them. could still hear my voice. The noise-cancellation switch can be turned on during media playback or when used as a headset and still acts as a filter. The battery seems to last forever. I charged this set once and used it for over two weeks. I fell asleep with noise canceling on dual wakes a few hours later, although it still works. When I complain about it, it's the same complaints I have about almost every typeface I've used; Buttons are hard to find. With this set, the buttons are built into the right earcup and I have to fumble around carefully to do anything. The Start/Pause/Answer button is completely hidden and completely invisible. The volume rocker is on top and is flush with the volume up button except for a tiny dot. The bass boost button doubles as a power button and is much more pronounced with a raised crest in the middle. The switch to enable noise cancellation is actually quite easy to find and is a slider. I have a large head (helmet XL) 7 3/4 hat and they fit quite snugly on my head. I hope they break down over time. They are particularly sensitive when I wear reading glasses. I synced them to my phone and tablet, but this set also comes with a cable so I have to use them with my work computer. Cuffs rotate 90º. I wasn't sure why until I packed them in my travel bag and found that they were much less likely to break with the cups folded.
