I wanted a simple silent clock. I like battery alarm clocks because the electricity where I live is not dependable. This one is what I had been looking for. I like the bright large, green lettering. The sound of the alarm is loud enough but not too loud. I have good hearing for an old person. My only complaint would be that it can be difficult to turn the alarm off without a light on and without good vision. There are four buttons on the reverse side of the clock. The lower button closest to the outside edge turns the alarm off. All of the buttons are the same size. The quietness of the clock and the size of the front display make up for this issue. The clock is keeping accurate time and I have not needed to change batteries after one month of use.
