We have an Epson 2100 projector and the original lamp burned out after about 1 year. I chose this lamp replacement despite the many negative reviews. We packed the lamp well and received it on time. The lamp comes with cotton gloves for handling the lamp and a cleaning cloth for the lamp. Installing the lamp was quick and easy. It works well. There is no loss of brightness or other problems. I ordered a second one to have on hand as it takes a few days to be delivered and the family doesn't like not being on the big screen. I suspect many of the negative reviews, particularly about exploding lamps, are due to mishandling during installation. If the lamp is touched with bare hands, a thin layer of oil from the hand is enough to damage the lamp during operation, especially considering the high temperature of the lamp during operation. Use the provided cotton gloves and you'll be fine.
