Review on 🏌️ Izzo Golf Swami 3000 GPS System by Justin Buck

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Simple, straight to the point GREAT for beginners

No subscription fees, no preload courses, no updates. Pick a course, go play. If you just want to know how far you are from bowling, this device is for you. I'm trying to learn everything else. Learning to play golf without GPS only complicates and lengthens the process. It's just as important to me as every single racket in my bag. The only thing that doesn't impress me too much is the battery and charging. I have never run out of charge on the course but it discharged itself after 2 weeks in my golf bag at home. So I just leave it on all the time. When I'm on the go, it charges with a standard mini USB cable (maybe micro, don't remember) so I can plug it into almost any USB port. Many cell phone chargers will also work. I'm assuming there's a nickel cadmium battery inside due to its self-discharge rate, so I try not to subject it to extreme heat, especially while charging. Other things to watch out for: The antenna seems to be a bit weaker than the Garmin. G5 and Yardage consistently differ 5-10 from Garmin maps. I don't know which one is correct but unless I'm chipping I really don't care 5-10 yards and the closer I get to the hole the less I use GPS anyway. Of course, I often had a navigation system with me on the trolley, and the trolley almost always goes directly to the money. When you're not on course, it will count down from 99 when you turn it on, and then just turn off. Very strange, I received it thinking it was broken. I almost sent it back because I was so nervous it broke. If you want distance to the hole and no fuss at a great price this is for you.
