The light is annoying and cheap
The lighthouse itself is wonderful and just what I was looking for. However, the color changing backlight runs on 3 button cells and a) only lasts a few hours b) flashes too fast to be a useful decoration. I ended up ripping out the lighting unit and replacing it with a wired night light that works fantastic. I even found a night light that changes color.
