I had 2 different versions of Samsung Smart/Active Watch, Samsung activity readings were always wrong. So I bought this Garmin watch, it was cheaper and focused more on activity tracking than smart features. The Garmin Watch started off great, and the Health app was better than Samsung's. The smart features were surprisingly good too (viewing email, text messages and calls from my phone). The excellent security features make it easy for my husband to track my real-time location when I walk, hike or ride a bike. But after a few weeks the clock started going haywire. I did a published 7 mile hike and my watch only read 5 miles. I went up 2 floors but the clock showed 10 floors. I went up 20 floors and the clock showed 0 floors and had to be reset and then restarted. The watch congratulated me on reaching my water goal for the day when I hadn't already recorded water for the day. I really like this watch and the app when it works, but I always have to factory reset the watch or uninstall and reinstall the app. In addition, the GPS seems weak, the signal connects for a long time and is easily disconnected in a wooded area. At the moment I've only had the watch for about 1 month. The dial is scratched on the first day, which has never happened to a Samsung watch in over 1 year. I still prefer this Garmin to the Samsung.
