I have tested many flexible tripods including ball and socket and this is the best I have chosen. This is attached to my trekking pole (see picture). It was really secure and when hiking I plan on keeping it attached most of the time, just snapping the phone holder in place and using my pole as a monopod. I look forward to using this in a variety of situations and the only thing that bothers me is the springs that hold the base to the tripod as well as the base itself. If the base is lost you will not be able to use the tripod , and if the springs pop out somehow, that's a problem. Although I don't expect it to happen. The Bluetooth remote works well, but I don't really like the phone holder. I'm not a fan of spring-loaded mounts, so I bought an Ailun Tripod Swivel Adapter for $7 so I can later rotate it on a tripod instead of the ball head. I also put my full size Nikon D750 on it when standing on a hard surface. I had to bend the legs a little to make it strong. I see myself using it sometimes. Personally, though, I wouldn't try to hold on to anything with a full-size DSLR. I'm excited to see how it holds up over the long term, but right away I'm pretty confident about using it with my iPhone 11 Pro.
