Summer in Texas is testing anything sold as 'cold' and these things live up to their tundra name. I put a 15lb rock in my fridge, added some regular ice to it before filling it with beer and by the end of the night ice was frozen around the beer bottles (maybe a great way to prevent drunk driving!? ). These things have been in a Yeti, a Pelican, cheap Walmart foam, and even a grocery bag, and they more than kept drinks and food chilled while floating down a river or in 95-degree heat. These + all decent coolers have all but eliminated my worries about food spoiling during week long hikes in the summer.
