I bought these along with new rotors to replace the front brakes on my friend's car. I would like to briefly explain why they get 5 stars and why I say amazing technology. The build quality of these pads is excellent having used top quality pads on my vehicles before I can say with certainty this is an absolute bargain for the price. Can you buy better? Surely. Will it cost a lot more to do this? Yes. The break-in (wear out) process is incredibly fast compared to other pads. I usually have to do a special ride on a desert highway and spend a lot of time doing various slow and fast soft and hard stops to properly bond the pads on the rotors, but those pads bit before I was really impressed when I got there , I didn't even leave town and they were ready to go cross country. Smoke and smell, totally normal after changing pads (especially changing pads and discs) also seemed to go away very quickly compared to my other experiences. These things aren't flashy and you don't have to add anything special to them, which is very, very nice. I don't mean negatively cross-referencing other reviews, but I think it's unfair to belittle a product you haven't experienced yourself. Who knows how dirty the hands of the mechanics were during installation and what kind of dirt got on the surface of the pad or rotor or the improper cleaning of the brakes. All I know is my own experience and having personally installed them and gotten the job right they deserve less than 5 stars for nothing.
