I brought the trio and they work great on my Macbook Pro, not the M1. After installing the USB display device driver, it works fine with my MacBook Pro, not M1. But the same driver didn't work on M1. I returned it and brought Siderac with me. Now I have a comparison between them. Trio has better support for screen rotation (rotates itself). It also has a control panel built into the monitor. This is great for controlling brightness etc. Cons: First, the magnetic plate is much larger than the Sidetrak. This way it looks more intrusive on the front of your laptop. Secondly, the dual track system in Sidetrack is better. This allows me to stick the magnetic plates on the center of the laptop (on the trio I have to stick them on one side). It also makes it impossible to use the screen on both the left and right sides of the laptop. Third, the cable looks sleeker and comes with a built-in tie. I love this small but handy feature. Fourth, the rail on the sidetrack is metal. Feels more stable.
