I bought this screen for my ASUS R540s Type C which needs this specific screen. I bought my screen exactly 10 months ago today. About 5 months ago, small black dots started appearing at the top of the screen, right where the address bar is in most browsers. Each point gradually grew to the size of a penny (8 points). I was able to do some magic here and there, but the problem was very annoying. At least there were no spots in the center of the screen, but about a week ago a small black spot appeared in the center of the screen. Also, about 2 months ago, half of the right side of the screen regularly decayed. I had to press or close/open the screen in this area for the blockage (vertical lines in all colors) to go away. I haven't been able to do anything lately to make it go away, so I'm replacing it. I forgot to say that this screen had a big dead pixel at the top when I got it. I'm buying another one hoping it will last 5+ months this time. Maybe I'm just lucky. I would buy and see. Don't let my experience with this item put you off buying it.
