The only thing I didn't know is that it was not meant to be placed on the stove. I thought, of course, that you could put it on the stove and heat the water in it, but don't do that with this one. I ended up getting a kettle that I sometimes pour in, but that was my fault because I didn't really understand how such kettles work. it really keeps it hotter longer if you preheat it with some hot water and then infuse the tea and I really like the design. It's also rusting a little on top, but I'm not sure if it's just me not washing it properly, but that's another matter. You can't use soap on it so you have to clean it with hot water and run a towel/paper towel along the inside just to wipe it down.
