Maybe the two jeans I dyed with two bottles of that color were more worn than the jeans of those who bought that color. He couldn't hide the worn spots. I had to re-dye my jeans using an 8 ounce container each of black and navy blue Rit liquid dye. I also used 8 ounces. a container of Rit ColorStay fixative and these various products were used to cover the abrasions. I did all of this in the washing machine. I pause the machine on the wash cycle for an hour to allow the color and fixer to stay longer, stirring every 15 minutes or so. Then I restart the wash cycle. With two rinses in the wash, I just put the jeans in the dryer. It's really cool that old jeans can be made new again.
