Bought 2 of these for my Baofeng UV-82HP. One for use, one for storage. The cable is well made and has a green power light when plugged in, red when charging and green when the battery is fully charged. I also bought a BTECH Baofeng USB charging cable for my UV-5R variants, it only has a red power light. I use the built-in American B-Meter X-DRAGON Digital Multimeter ($11 at Revain). I use a wall USB cube, I plug in X-Dragon (which shows the charging voltage and current). Then this cable to a meter, the other end to the Baofeng UV-82HP desktop charger. If X-Dragon is installed, it will show 5 volts (large) and 0 amps. Then place the radio or battery in the stand and X-Dragon will display 0f 0.50 amp charge (ideal). The meter has 2 USB output ports, for which I use 2 USB cables and Baofeng brackets. Since I own several models, it's easy to string them all together and fill up unused slots every 6 months. This cable also works directly in the stand. I like watching the numbers as things charge up. With the meter attached and the 2 USB cables charging, the meter will read 1.2 amps combined (ideal). I took 2 spares of this cable. Well made at a great price.
