Review on COOLWHEEL Bicycle Brake Bleed Kit by Robert Prix

Revainrating 1 out of 5

It took a bit of hacking to get this to work. Not-So-Good Kit

This set contains many parts. Unfortunately, the instructions and details do not match. The instructions aren't good - a bunch of pictures with numbers referring to parts that can't be distinguished from each other and the parts supplied are different from those in the diagrams. In addition, a translation of the instructions into English does not make sense. I used it to bleed a Shimano brake but was only able to get it to work by attaching one of the threaded brass inserts to one end of the tube and a cup to the other end. However, the cup was threaded and not nicked, so I had to attach it to the hose somehow. It worked, but it's a crappy setup. The diagram shows several parts that need to be screwed together to get from one element to another, but all the brass fittings are notched and only fit onto the hose. One of the o-rings was previously broken so I need to find another replacement for it. In addition, a brass part must be screwed into the syringe. Yes, but the flange on the brass fitting is not large enough for the o-ring that seals the brass fitting and syringe to not seal. for other brands), but only with some creative effort. I started with two stars but after writing this review I really felt it deserved only one star.

Pros
  • CONSISTENT PERFORMANCE - A stable, low resistivity injector can remain smooth even when squeezing a high-consistency shock, making brake bleeding easier and saving time.
Cons
  • There are problems
