Some of me feel a little embarrassed about buying expensive garbage bags because they seem like a silly luxury. In fact, I've never paid for bathroom trash bags in 20+ years because I've only used leftover plastic bags with a plastic basket specifically designed for that type of bag. But when plastic bags were banned where I live, I was forced to abandon that system and jump on a plain human trash can. He came with some samples of these liners and when I finished packing the samples I was ecstatic. With the old grocery bag system, my husband and I passively and aggressively avoided changing bags, hoping the other one would break and finally make it. This was because there were always leaks from the bags not fitting exactly, the propensity for rips and holes that would leave debris in the bin, and the fact that there was no way to seal them completely. The Simplehuman liners have none of these problems. They fit perfectly, and when you take them out of the basket, the drawstring cinches them up tight so nothing spills. It took all the "gross" factor out of changing your bag, so we actually do it instead of piling up a disgusting pile of used towels. Trust me I'm a cheap person and I still think it's worth every penny.
