They really stayed on my dog's paws. I didn't have any luck with the dog boots but they were easy to put on thanks to the zipper so you could put your foot in place and then close. Speaking of zippers, I was afraid I would zip up their fur, but the boots have a tongue that prevents that. A Velcro strap around the shaft of the boot ensures it stays in place. My sweet dog did his usual crazy walk in the first snow but after a few minutes he was pretty good. We live in the Midwest and she actually used them in our fancy Halloween snow last week. I chose black to match her various coats, but other colors are available if you're a "fashion hound".
