Review on Pack Of 50 White Keystone Punch Down Jacks For Cat-5E RJ-45 Connections by David Perry

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Junk - do not buy, in my review

I almost never do reviews. These are junk. I have been doing Ethernet wiring for 20 years, and own an ISP. The RJ45 reciever has too much play within the jack, and do not consistently make a solid connection. If you wiggle your Ethernet cable you might be able to keep a connection, until someone breaths on it.I have tested with with a couple of manufactured ethernet cables, and my own made cat5 ends. Simply put the tolerances of the receiver on the jack are too great. This makes me have to re-do wiring for about 15 cable before I figured out they don't work. Very annoying.

Pros
  • cheap and does what is advertised for. no need to spend tons of money for a name brand. trust me.
Cons
  • Fragile Construction: The plastic construction of these Keystone Punch Down Jacks is fragile and can easily break when too much pressure is applied during installation. This results in wasted time, effort, and cost
