I'm not one to give reviews to the general public, but I have good reviews as an engineer who loves the outdoors and long-lasting quality products.1. I would have preferred the handle to be more ergonomic than built in for storing things in. Shape the handle like a good ax hand, not a simple straight oval shape.2. The balance is not right at all, there should be less weight under the strap so the head is the heaviest part.3. The excavation angle of the bucket is 90 degrees and 180 degrees, which is an arbitrary way of designing. The angle in "Pick" mode should be less than 90 so it's more ergonomic for digging and then use as a climbing hook in a pinch (think an ice ax). Also, when the bucket is rotated a full 180 degrees, this angle does not offer the best ergonomics for digging either. Something just under 180 would be ideal - check out a regular shovel. Unless it is to be used as a pick rod, it does not need to be rotated 180 degrees, and looking at the design, these two angles can easily be adjusted by changing the position of the cutouts. Rather than storing the handle, I would have preferred to build the handle to hold a parachute, which I think could be stuffed inside, but it would be nice to wrap it on the outside. 5. I think it's too heavy to hike - if you could find a way to light up the midsection without sacrificing durability, yours would be amazing too. I think you are 80%. Ideal for storing car, motorcycle, ATV.
