I'm always surprised when a company has a successful product and is tempted to 'improve' it. This inevitably introduces new design flaws, which is the case here. The top of the mug has two changes. First the opening method. Instead of pressing a button to open the stream (a one-finger operation), it's now necessary to grab the cup with two hands and twist it to open it. (Not possible while driving). The second worst feature is the redesigned mouth opening. It has a narrow rectangular shape and is dosed in such a way that hot black coffee burns the upper lip. I had my original travel mug for a few years and wanted a new one. Since they no longer make the original design, I was confident that the new look would have the same features. This is a big disappointment.
