My SO convinced me that Royal Canine is the best because it was developed and approved by veterinarians. It was the Hill's Science Diet that made my kitty smell so awful that she tried to bury her while eating and gave up completely. Both brands are veterinary approved. The breeder also suggested that this is the type we give my kitten, he is a Ragamuffin. From the day we got him he had severe diarrhea and a dirty butt. Type of. Along with the administration of probiotics, his diarrhea disappeared. Sp I thought maybe I could give this to him as a reward. NO, the diarrhea came back the same day and then the lethargy and fear in the eyes. Not to mention that this thing looks like a crack kitty shape. He loves it more than other wet food brands and he gobbles it up. Even with probiotics or mixed with kibble, it still gives him some serious dirty butt. Eventually I had to bathe him twice a day. When I switched to diff. The brand wet food (grain-free) mixed with rice to strengthen his diarrhea is completely gone. He's better now. I still give him probiotics. His ass is intact and clean. No more smelly poop. Now it smells like clean laundry. I will no longer buy ROYAL Canine. Buyer Warning. Something is wrong with this wet food. The one that caused it was with large flakes. Never again.
