After a month of using this substrate it has been a real nightmare to the point that I had to remove it from my tank and find something else. I did a little research before purchasing this substrate and it turned out that the only issue buyers had was the packaging was torn during shipping. I will say that I had this problem, but it wasn't enough problem for me not to buy it or give a bad review. First, let me describe how this substrate is created. It's hard, shaped like hard little balls, but becomes extremely malleable in the aquarium, causing the balls to break apart and causing a ridiculous cloudiness that doesn't go away after a few water changes. If you maintain your aquarium regularly, even the slightest movement in the substrate will cause the water to become cloudy. I did about 10 complete water changes in ONE DAY and my water was still cloudy. This will cloud your aquarium indefinitely. Save your money, it's not worth the headache
