Even with a very heavy lens, this Z mount was able to hold my camera at various angles that I mounted it. I thought it could be done while attached to a tripod but I was very impressed that it stayed in place on its own very easily. So I wanted to buy a Z mount to place it at any angle on my desk without a tripod. But I never would have believed that a Z-Clamp could do that. It's so nice to be wrong! It really opens up possibilities for where I can put my camera to take photos. Excellency! Sturdy and durable, yet light enough to carry in your camera bag and small enough to easily fit in your pocket. My only complaint is that it comes with a very small Allen key to secure the connections, but there is no space on the Z mount to store a wrench and the wrench is so small it's easy to lose it. Not a big deal really, the Z mount doesn't need to be overtightened to keep the camera in place. general. But it would be nice to have an Allen key on hand if needed. Still, I love this Z bracket and can't wait to use it often in my photography!
