Purpose: I'll keep you safe this in a small tool box for fishing or hunting. Pros: This knife sharpener offers excellent value for money. The other side is fine grit to polish the blade and remove burrs. I was able to get my bolo blade sharp enough to neatly slice paper in half while holding it in the air! I've never had this blade so sharp! It has rubber grips on the sides to make it harder to cut yourself while sharpening the blade. It's small and light. It also has a loop through which you can thread the 550 cord and attach it to your backpack. Cons: It's a little bulky for an ultralight backpacker. However, the main part is to make it safer.
