The pen works well but the ink is a bit watery. I ran through my white decals on my Wrangler truck tires to make them stand out more, but found that they didn't last more than a couple of weeks and disappeared. I have found that after applying the paint you put some clear sealer paint on it which should last over a couple of months. Provided you rub the tire on curbs. I do NOT recommend driving through an automatic car wash as water and rubbing the rail will also stain the paintwork.
