Review on 🧼 Nellie's Dishwasher Powder - Powerful Cleaning Solution for 80 Loads" by Brandon Pape

Excellent packaging but unusable for washing dishes

While searching for fragrance-free dishwashing liquid, I came across Nellie here at Revain. I thought that was the answer. I usually buy this type of product at the grocery store, but every brand seems to have unnecessary flavors that I've never understood, especially when the "lemon fresh" flavor doesn't come from a lemon tree in Sicily, but from a lab in New Jersey. I don't want my plate to smell like lemon when I'm eating mint chocolate ice cream from it. All I need is for the bowl to be free of last week's dried leftovers. Anyway, if you're reading this review, you're probably wondering if this cleaner works. It's not like this. Many of our plates and cutlery had food leftovers after being washed in the dishwasher. It's expensive too! The pack says 80 loads, but that's only true if you have soft, baby-like water; We have hard water here in the New Jersey badlands, so we have to use about twice as much detergent, getting closer to 40 loads from this can. Keep that in mind when you decide to buy. To Nellie's credit, it's fragrance-free, which is why I graciously gave it a second star. It would be great if he just washed the dishes well. My dear wife (bless her) has an odd habit of washing dishes by hand before putting them in the dishwasher so I'm sure if you're that type of person this product will suit you. But knowing that I will die one day, I don't like wasting that kind of time. I naively expect our dishwasher to do the dishes. I really wanted to like this product because I love the environment, clean dishes and Canada, but I hate artificial flavors and plastic packaging. I will use the tin it came in but I will never get back the time I spent hand washing dishes that should have gone in the dishwasher.

Pros
  • Works great in hard water. Copes with the toughest baked goods.
Cons
  • Something different
