I use it for local file backups
Considering the size of this stick, I stick it on each computer and use it for each computer's local backup. By backing up my Windows 10 system until I need space, I get regular backups without having to rely on a NAS, two of which have failed, and/or cloud storage. Your costs were reasonable.
