It was working fine until it broke in half. The base appears to be attached with only 4 spot welds. So I think it's great as long as you treat it like a museum piece that I didn't know what to do until it was too late. UPDATE: They replaced it for free and were very kind. The new one is here, I hope it lasts longer than the first one. So five stars for customer service, but the jury isn't out on the quality of the product yet. Just take a look! UPDATE PART 2: I got a replacement, used it once and the first time I cleaned it it broke just like the last one and I was very gentle with it. So! Five stars for customer support but the product appears to be of poor quality. UPDATE PART 3: I received an email from Julie at Yitelle saying they have redesigned the product so it won't break anymore. They sent me a new one which I've been using for about 2 weeks now and so far it's holding up well! It's worth noting that when the previous one broke I threw away the disc base and kept the cone filter part and bought another product with a ring-shaped stand that the cone sits in. The filter that came with this filter was much lower quality and didn't make great coffee so I used a cone from a broken Yitelle in this ring. stay away from the other until this new one comes along. The filter itself on the Yitelle is really fantastic, it makes a great cup of coffee.
