I wear this while sailing so boats and jet skis can see me and in case I get cramps. Inflate, adjust the waist belt, put it around your waist and off you go! I can hardly feel this swimmer when I swim (unless the waves are very big) because it just follows me. This makes me feel safe and confident when I'm alone in open water. I wish they were different sizes because I have a small waist and they are too loose.
