If each wheel is rated at 300 pounds and you have 4, the total load capacity is theoretically 1200 pounds. The loading capacity is reduced. I bought 8 of these to use on the steel table under the lathe. (actually 4 with brakes, 4/without brakes) Why 8? To increase the maximum load, reduce the likelihood of corner stalling and make each wheel spin easier when changing direction. than 5 wheels touching the ground at all times and SERIOUSLY shaky rolling. The brakes didn't work because nobody turned the front of the wheel, it was left as a raw cast. To mitigate this issue I used mine to widen all the holes to compensate. They were 1/16th or more off center, about 1.5-2mm. FWIW, the procedure requires a drill rod, a drill will not fit as they follow an existing hole. If I didn't have a lathe they would come back. There's no reason a $23 set of wheels should require xxxxx worth of tools to get them working. Negative Stars! The outside of the wheels was turned on a lathe at the factory, apparently the company that makes them has access to one of these. It's really hard to see HOW they could mess things up so much, but I'm pretty sure a drill press was involved, it would be HARD to do such a bad job on a lathe. Very difficult. Their inability to use this simplest of all machine tools to accurately manufacture the simplest of all simple machines (wheels) is a prime example of Chinese-made designs. Probably suitable for coffee table on carpet, not suitable for heavy or dangerous goods. .
