Review on ⚡ WindyNation 10A 12V Solar Charge Controller: Waterproof, LED Charging & Load Indicators by Donald Manipole

This unit looks good, has a large heatsink, comes with decent instructions and appears to be waterproof as promised. It has all the features you would expect, at least on paper. For some applications this will probably be a good little controller. Unfortunately, it also includes a "dawn to dusk timer" that turns off the load during daylight hours, which wasn't mentioned in the description when I bought it. . This function cannot be overridden and was a deal breaker for my application. If you want this feature (or at least can tolerate it), add a star. Add another star if you really want heavy gauge wire (12 AWG) with MC4 connectors to run to your solar panel. Otherwise, cutting and splicing await you in the future. Nothing bad, but not what competing products ask you to do.
