I went to Yellowstone this summer. When I spoke to park staff about booking a campground, they informed me that dogs are not allowed on the boardwalks or side streets. However, they were so specific where they weren't allowed that I had to ask for clarification. Of course I checked with two different people on two different days that as long as I keep it or put it in my backpack it can be with me (and not left in the overheated car) as technically it won't turn on. Boardwalks or side paths and is restricted. So I bought this backpack. Great product at a great price. That worked great for the little hike we did to the Painted Pots. If you are in a similar situation, I highly recommend this product. I got a lot of cute/weird looks and comments, but at least my dog didn't get stuck in the car oven for 30 minutes while I scouted. I liked that it has a little leash to keep the puppies where they need to be (inside) and you can keep their heads out so they don't feel trapped. Also included was a fun water bottle/bowl for my pup.
