This is the fourth or fifth of these radios that I have bought. It has an amazing sound, loud and clear. But his life is not as long as I expected. The battery lasts long enough for the first year or so - for several hours of broadcasting - but after the second year that number starts to decrease. Other problems surfaced: one of the radios broke the on/off switch a few months after purchase (I threw away the packaging so didn't send it back). The headphone jack on the other side stopped working properly. This radio meets my needs very well, so I just swap it out when it wears out.
