I liked using the brush (latex, not chalk based) but it keeps the latex paint in the gap between the bristles near the tip. After use, like my other brushes, I washed them thoroughly with warm water and mild dish soap and by the time I was done the water was clear. Unfortunately, after drying, it became a lot stiffer than my flat brushes and flakes of paint started falling off. I looked between the bristles and there was still too much dried paint. I had to soak it in brush cleaner overnight and use 20 store bought wipes to remove most of the residue. I then had to rinse it five more times with water and a mild detergent to get the water clear. If you're looking for a brush that you can use day in, day out, cleaning this oval brush can be a challenge. I will not use it with latex again!
