Incredible product! During the renovation of our kitchen, part of the opening mechanism of the dishwasher broke. The heavy duty tape only lasted a few days because the part that came loose causes a lot of stress when you open the dishwasher. We tried every glue we had around the house, nothing lasted more than 4 dishwasher openings. Bought specifically for JB Weld in plastic - an old friend. We couldn't believe it only lasted one day. Fortunately, someone mentioned Q Bond in a JB Weld product review. We had so little hope that it would work - we were just trying to get something working until February, when we expect to be ready for the new tech, the final step of the renovation. Of course I didn't believe that it could be fixed in 10 seconds as stated on the packaging. We gave it an hour before trying it. MY GOD! It was a strong bond giving her very little! There were a few cracks that we could fill more, so we did that and waited until the next morning to try again. I swear it's better than the original before it broke! He's rock hard! I'm still not sure if that gets us to February, it's only been 5 days. But he's strong, no sign of surrender. This is really amazing stuff! Incidentally, we didn't use a powder, just a liquid that has a consistency similar to superglue. In our case the piece was vertical and we could see that the powder was making a big mess as it couldn't be fixed horizontally. Beauty isn't a factor in our repair - not that it looks bad, but it probably wouldn't be noticeable if we used gunpowder in the cracks.
