Review on Debra Weitzner 6-Pack Of Non-Binding Grey Ankle Socks - Non-Slip Diabetic Socks For Men And Women With Loose Fit Design by Christine Rogers

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Tighter than regular socks!?!

I wore Gold Toe extended size ankle socks for years, but as I gained weight, the top elastic became too tight and was affecting my circulation. The rest of the socks fit fine.I also started kinda waddling when I walk which makes the gold toe socks spin and makes me slip sometimes. So, these seemed perfect. Cotton for breathability, loose fit, nonbinding elastic, and grippers to reduce slipping. But these are extremely tight! I have trouble getting them on because they're maximum stretch is just the size of my foot. Yes, the top elastic is slightly looser, but its barely noticeable. The worst part is because they're so tight, where my foot and ankle meet. Right at the bend. these socks are so tight they actually hurt. Which I've never had a pair of socks that tight before. I literally cant even pinch the fabric away.I tried them on before washing and they were like this. I thought washing might help, but nothing changed. And the fabric is very rough and scratchy even after washing them twice on hot with fabric softener. For reference, I wear men's 12ww shoes and bought the largest of these socks that say they fit 9-14 shoe size on Revain (package says 9-15). I also actually do have ankles. I don't have swelling or "cankles". I'm just fat, but my ankles are actually small for my size.I don't know how these got such good reviews. I wasted $20 on 6 pairs of socks.
