Review on ZUKKA Portable Mountain Aluminum Schrader by Kevin Singh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I had to use it twice: once in light rain and once in a very heavy downpour.

I bought this to protect my Razor EcoSmart Metro Scooter in the event of a sudden downpour. I have a crossbar rear view mirror on my scooter and even at this width it fits comfortably under the cover. I have now had to use it twice, once in light rain and once in a very heavy downpour and both times the scooter stayed dry as one would expect given the circumstances. By that I mean it's basically a rain tent, just a different shape. And if you've ever snuggled up to your tent's rain cover during a downpour, you know that because you're pressing on the fabric, some water will seep through the fabric and land on you just because hydrostatic heads and fabric work. Not much different than an umbrella (try snuggling up to an umbrella during a downpour). The places that the cover touched (seat, handlebars, luggage rack) got slightly damp, but nothing that you couldn't wipe dry with a paper towel despite a strong storm, wheel and cover. just endured. I'm not mentioning this as a downside to the case - no fabric case and bagged can keep those areas bone dry - but so buyers have appropriate expectations when picking up the case. getting off my bike after a heavy downpour. The seat shines slightly from moisture. Take a napkin with you. I am very happy with this raincoat. When it wears out (because I've had enough tarps to know they'll wear out eventually, especially when stuffed into a bag and unpacked) I'll buy another one.
