Really like them. I've long wanted candles in the windows for the holidays, but was unhappy with the wires, timers, and glass bulbs of others. I have 5 small children so battery operation with plastic bulbs is important for us here. They have a warm glow that can be seen from a great distance - they flicker slightly (in one of my photos you can see the bulbs at different brightness levels because they flicker. The flickering is subtle and not too annoying. Enough to look real Flame from the street The only downside is that I live in overcast Rochester, NY where there is rarely a sunny day in the winter, also two of my windows are shaded by the porch so the candles burn longer than I would like before they detect the sunlight and use battery power (requires 2 AA btw) I found this to be easy to 'fix', just twist the screwdriver on the optical hole for a few minutes to make the hole wider. The sensor slides back so it won't damage that part. I did a side-by-side comparison and widening the hole definitely saves about an hour every sunrise and sunset nd -sunset, even only when it really gets dark - exactly when I wanted to. .
