I teach online courses and they have helped me a lot. You are not perfect. But they do the job and are durable! My kids have knocked them over sooooo many times. (One problem is that the legs on the base don't offer enough balance, especially when you lift it higher. It goes up to 6 feet.) But they still work. One received a crack in the ring. However, this did not affect its use. Legs don't stay stiff either, if that makes sense. Sometimes they are lowered after the legs are "locked" in position. But I was able to get it working. When I mentioned this to Beam, they quickly contacted me to rectify the situation. Your customer service is great! They also sent a phone mount out of nowhere at no extra charge! Both of the included phone mounts are durable and wear well. It will not light up a large room or room. I actually use 2 when I need to light a large area. But if my computer or phone can be near me, one of them works fine. When I bought the ring light it was $50. It was a bit chilly. But at $35 it's a lot more reasonable.
