I bought the oiled bronze version which has a switch at the base. i love this shop At first I found the lighting a bit too dim, but actually it's perfect - I use it in the mornings in an almost pitch black room and it has the perfect brightness. Not so bright that it's hard to see, but not so dark that you can't see it either. well, everything. Which brings me to a fallback to this mirror. The 7x back has a serious problem: every time I look at it, it seems like a strange troll lives in it and is looking at me. Avoid this side of the mirror as you will waste too much time in the morning staring at this image in disbelief and trying in vain to correct it. And pray no one ever sees you with 7x magnification, egaads. My advice? Buy a mirror, but don't look at the 7x side. It will only be depressing.
