Such a fabulous blast from the past! I gave it to my husband for his 70th birthday. We love going back to the fun activities of our childhood. As well as this Etch-A-Sketch, we've also had a blast on our pastures flying T&D's TOMI kites here at Revain. we just go out and fly them for hours. So you can enjoy the fresh air and the sun and just relax. I recently got a pony too. big childhood dream! Life is good! We love going to local festivals, speaking to the 4-H'ers and realizing that the kids haven't changed. But I digress! I am sorry! This Etch-A-Sketch was a smash hit and a complete surprise for my husband's birthday! His face was beaming as well. like when he got his first Christmas present as a child! We both like to sit at our desks in the morning, watch the news and drink coffee. It's also the perfect time to "sketch"! I photograph his "art" and save it in an album on my computer because I remember how sad we always felt when we had to delete our amazing artwork. I have already ordered a second one for his brother. because I know that once he sees it, he will want it too. and I don't want any problems! (I had to order another kite for him.) Etch-A-Sketch is beautifully designed in light cardstock. Nicely packaged! No batteries required, ready to use! I highly recommend it for kids and adults! It may be "a toy," but it forces you to use your mind and think and plan. It's just as fun now at our age for the second time as it was when it first hit the toy market here in the US in 1960 (thanks for that info, Wikipedia). You really have to use your brain and it's fun! Siblings will also compete to outdo each other, so you'd better get one for each child. (Trust me.)
