I bought the first one 3 years ago. I liked it so much that I bought another one a year and a half later. So here it is, thin, in my experience the build quality is better than anything I've seen in China barring high-priced items. This price is quite high, so I think it's reasonable. My other Bluetooth speakers (I had over 4 others for various reasons as well as advice for friends). None of the others lasted 3 years (battery stopped charging or bluetooth not working). This one was in the tropics in a VERY hot environment and has been beaten for 3 years and is still running strong. It acts as both a speaker and backup power source for your phone and is best powered by the sun. Actually yes. The volume could be louder but it's adequate, just not as loud as some of the others, but if you don't want to wake the neighbors that works great. And yes. The sound quality isn't as good as some more expensive modern models, but it's still very good. And finally, solar charging works, but in my experience you can only charge 50% with solar power, if you want 100% you have to charge at the wall. But the charge lasts a long time.
