I doubt it will fit a six month old baby.

Advertised size 3-6 months and they are a few inches taller than size 0-3 months but our 15 lb 3 month old baby barely fits! (Actually, we've been using them for a month now.) They're lightweight cotton, so we weren't worried about baby overheating, he just grew out of them a lot quicker than we expected.
