Review on Dorman 628 040 Universal Seat Heater by Danny Flores

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Seat heating - just in time for summer!

Finally got around to installing heated seats in my 2003 Ford Focus. The pads are 11 3/4" square and will ONLY fit in the space available for my pads. Pig rings are bad and pliers are absolutely useless. I've used needle nose pliers and pathetic hog rings that actually hand bend to some degree Zip ties (zip ties) can be used and I considered that option but ended up using the cheap rings in the kit. In fact they are square in shape which makes them a bit more difficult to use. Cut off the locking tap and order See something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0146EB8EM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc= 1 I ran power and ground behind the center console and heavy shielded cables ran under the carpet under the seat, where there is a pre-punched hole in the carpet. The quality of the wiring and pads looks good and the elements definitely heat up quickly and nicely. The three position en switch (off, low, high) has LED indicators and has a factory appearance. I mounted it on the center console next to the seat. I will update this review as necessary to ensure the longevity of the product.
