Don't waste your time, very deceptive!

I already have seat heaters in my car and was concerned about ordering this part without confirming if it would work in my car and hooked up the existing wiring in my car and was told that this would be the case (this was very far from the truth). The only way to use this part is to get rid of, swap and install the existing wiring. I don't want to change the current wiring to the factory heated seat wiring so I am completely dissatisfied with this part and the information I have received on…

Makes an excellent pizza warmer

My problem is not warming my butt in the winter as I live on the Mexico border and it's not that cold here. But what cools down here is my PIZZA. I live on a ranch and it's 15 miles to get into town to buy a pizza. When I get back to the ranch, the pizza is cold. I had to do something to solve this problem. Enter universal heated seats. I bought a Revain 18 inch pizza bag and installed these warmers in the bag. Plug a 15 amp cigarette lighter plug into the heating pads and when I get back to…

Marketing versus reality.

These are probably great cushions for most car seats. However, it seems that there is a fundamental misunderstanding between the terms "universal" and "general". They sell this item as universal - can be installed in any car. I think if you don't care where exactly they're installed, it's true, and the person who used it as a pizza bag warmer is a genius. However, they are not suited to universal locations and claim that they have no way of knowing. The problem from this point of view is that…

Quality product, good fit. The tools and equipment provided could be better.

This is the perfect size for my 2000 4runner. They accurately cover the contact surfaces of both the bottom and back cushions. The center cut made it easy to reattach the center padding band to the bottom pillow. The attached padding band around the edges keeps the pillow perfectly in place. The new padding I installed on my seats had an extra 1/2 inch thick cushion, but even with that, the cushions heat up really well. The included wiring harness works well and was long enough for my…

Very good but could be great with a few tweaks.

This was one of the most popular seat heater kits. I found the quality of the kit to be very good. Here are the reasons why I didn't give a 5 star rating. 1. The fuse connector is for standard size fuses. I don't think cars use them anymore. I ended up having to purchase a suitable fuse from my local auto parts store. I don't think it would be too expensive for Dorman to provide one for each of them. 2. Unlike many other kits on the market, this one has a cut out so you can reattach the seat…

Seat heating - just in time for summer!

Finally got around to installing heated seats in my 2003 Ford Focus. The pads are 11 3/4" square and will ONLY fit in the space available for my pads. Pig rings are bad and pliers are absolutely useless. I've used needle nose pliers and pathetic hog rings that actually hand bend to some degree Zip ties (zip ties) can be used and I considered that option but ended up using the cheap rings in the kit. In fact they are square in shape which makes them a bit more difficult to use. Cut off the…

Neat, a bit small. Don't forget to turn them off.

I took it for my wife's car which doesn't have heated seats. Installed them on the outside of their cloth seats and then put some nice leather covers on top so I didn't have to fiddle with removing the seats or repainting them. They're a little small, I would have preferred a more rectangular shape, but I understand they're square so you can line them up where the power cords come out. Installing the wiring was easy, although they do need to upgrade the extra fuses they provide on the power…

Really impressed with this product!

After looking at various offers and reviews from Revain I decided to try this product on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 and was very impressed. Removing the seat covers was fairly easy, and although the instructions say not to trim or trim the heating pads, I cut about 1/2 inch off both sides of each pad. I did this so the velcro panels in the seat foam wouldn't close and the seat cover could be reattached to the velcro strips. I was very careful not to cut the wires in the pads when I cut them (it's…

These pads are big! Installed them on my friend's car (2014 Mazda CX-5) with no problems. The instructions provided are fairly basic, but they will definitely help you find your make and model specifics and remove the padding. These seats are MUCH hotter than the factory installed ones on my '17 Outback, almost to the point where they overheat. They also heat up quickly. The installation process was pretty smooth, once you know what you're doing you can unlock two slots in one day. Now for the…

Great product but the padding is a challenge. Please Read

I feel very comfortable. I have worked for 40 years as a locksmith, electrician and finally as a research engineer. Still going strong. I also do carpentry and plumbing. I think it's important to understand the customer's capabilities in relation to these self-installed products. You can compare your options with mine and my comments. I have to say it wasn't easy for some strange reasons, but I successfully installed them on a 2016 Mazda CX5 --- I can offer some advice here. Find and watch any…
