I bought this item for the price and didn't have high expectations (having only installed it today so can't comment on durability). It came with minimal instructions, although I didn't even look at them until the installation was complete and I tested them. There were several interchangeable washers in the kit, which was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. I was impressed that each end of the hose was covered with a protective plastic sleeve which, when removed, revealed another protective cap on each end. I had trouble removing this inner cover as after attaching the readers I found that it was screwed on and easy to remove. I was a little apprehensive about attaching the hose to the shower head as there was no place to tighten it with a wrench. Before installing, I wrapped teflon tape around both threads and hand tightened each end. At this point I tried the shower and was shocked and pleasantly surprised that there was absolutely no leak. If the hose starts leaking within the next 12 months I'll get back to you with an update. At this point, however, I don't think you can do better.
