Not an easy repair for an amateur.

Sping s very sturdy but difficult to stretch. I repaired a recliner using this kit, a 6 foot lenth of rope, a handful of coins and a helper My recliner requires this zig zag spring to be stretched to catch a short coil spring. This is very difficult to do without professional tools but we did it. We forced coins betweeen the coils to make the coil spring longer. Then we strched the zig zag spring using the rope to hook the end over the coil spring. Believe me when I say it's easier said than done.

Pros

Working great on our LazyBoy recliner. Was a little difficult to put on, it took two of us.

Cons

The springs may be too firm or too soft for some users' preferences
